Intro.
GoldenQuest Golden Retrievers is a small kennel that has been breeding
quality AKC golden retriever puppies for 25 years. We are located in Nicholasville
near Lexington, Kentucky. GoldenQuest is very selective in the dogs
it uses for breeding. We believe that health and temperament are
the cornerstones on which all other accomplishments are built. We
strive for excellent health, temperament, and conformation
from champion blood lines. We offer show, pet and dogs for special
needs individuals. Our puppies are raised underfoot and are socialized
with children and other animals. Puppies are temperament tested, tattooed,
wormed, and have their first shots. Puppies come with a written
contract and a health guarantee
.
Our four children are involved with our dogs. Becky when she was
11 years old put two International Championships on GoldenQuest
dogs. Beth when she was 9 years old put a National Championship
on a dog we produced. Both Becky and Beth are active with our 4-H
Dog Club and have put CGC (Canine Good Citizens) on our dogs. Becky
and Beth have won numerous awards and trophies with GoldenQuest dogs in
both conformation and obedience. Our dogs have been featured in newspaper
ads and in greeting cards.
GoldenQuest believes in community service. We have always donated our first
pup from each litter as a working dog. GoldenQuest has donated dogs
to outstanding organizations like Paws For A Cause, Kansas Specialty Dogs,
Pilot Dogs and Canine Companions For Independence (CCI). Several
of our dogs are being evaluated by CCI in their breeding program.
Kansas Specialty Dogs has just requested a dog for use in their breeding
program. One of our donated dogs was elected Kansas Dog Of The
Year by the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association at their 2002 convention.
GoldenQuest has a certified Therapy Dog that we use for making family visits
to nursing homes and special needs establishments. We can only do
a little but we hope GoldenQuest dogs can help make the world a better
place.
